In this TST episode we're checking in with each other and talking about maintaining a sense of safety during periods trauma.
We can experience trauma through a physical, mental, or emotional threat directly to ourselves, or through secondary or tertiary triggers through the experiences of others who we care about.
Whatever the cause, when we find ourselves experiencing trauma it is important to be self-aware and prioritize self-care, so that we can maintain a sense of safety. This also allows us to support and help those around us.
